Ferrari 250 GTO chassis number “3527GT” was built at Enzo Ferrari’s Maranello, Italy, based factory in May of 1962, the seventh car of an edition of just 33. Designed for racing, 3527GT is seen at the Tour de France in September 1962 driven by Lucien Bianchi and Claude Dubois The 250 GTO was to prove a formidable and successful sports racing car in the mid-1960s.

Chassis 3527GT, the 16th of the line, left Ferrari’s Maranello factory in early September 1962, being delivered to its first owner, Jacques Swaters of Belgian racing team Ecurie Francorchamps, who duly passed it on to racing driver Lucien Bianchi.
